We have expanded  ways for you to support our 31st annual Great American Weekend, an event which supports the Goshen area and our  not- for-profits.  We greatly appreciate your  help with our efforts to provide scholarships, outreach and other opportunities to the people of our community.  Please click  on the above link (Great American Weekend Supporter Packages for 2012) for the sponsorship packages– and help us make the 31st annual Goshen’s Greatest American Weekend!

The Great American Weekend only occurs once a year, but it takes months of planning and the partnership of many people to create such a stellar event.  The Village and Town of Goshen, First Presbyterian Church, downtown merchants, vendors, volunteers and performers all play their part.  But we cannot make this special weekend a reality without YOUR financial support.  Now more than ever, we need to celebrate what makes us strong: a commitment to our neighbors and friends and to the continuity of Goshen’s grand tradition.

- John S. Burke Catholic High School Drama Club will be performing “Curtains” on Friday April 27, Saturday April 28 and Sunday April 29. Ticket prices are $12 for adults. $10 for seniors and students

- Goshen In Bloom is looking for volunteers to help with plantings around the Village. Most people dont realize that while the Village DPW diligently waters the lamppost, sidewalk and bridge plants – Goshen in Bloom pays for and plants them. They plant in March. Tom’s Greenhouses generously give them greenhouse space and nurtures the young plants so they look great for all to enjoy when they go out in May.  Goshen in Bloom pays for, waters and plants the Erie Street Park Planters, they paid for and installed the for the Mutt Mitt dispensers and provide refills. They pay for and install the Harriman Fountain fall mum display. They are responsible for the hayride and Porch Decorating Contest for the Great American Weekend.  Can you help? The breakfasts are open to the public and include a hearty meal catered or hosted by one of our Goshen Chamber members. We focus on a variety of topics with speakers both informative and entertaining. We appreciate reservations several days prior, but you may pay at the door by cash or check. We do not accept credit cards. Prices may vary but are usually $12 for members; $15, non-members. Your check should be made payable to “Goshen Chamber of Commerce.”
